FAQs
Where is Deep Forest tattoo Located?
6136 Southwest Ave, St. Louis, Mo. Near Chris’s Pancakes off Highway 44.
How can I schedule an appointment?
When my books are open, I’ll have a Google Form available on the “Appointments” tab. If there is not an “Appointments” tab on the top right side of the screen, I am not accepting appointments at that time. If you are a return client, you can text me to schedule.
What style of tattooing do you prefer?
I always enjoy soft black and grey, either photorealism or neotraditional inspired. I could tattoo flowers, animals, skeletons, and people until my hands fall off. I mostly enjoy doing custom pieces where a general idea is given, but my creativity can be added. At this time, I would like to stay away from doing any kind of tribal, celtic, or custom lettering.
Do you have predrawn designs available?
I post all of my predrawn on my public Instagram page @st.louis_jessica under the Drawings highlight. To claim a piece, respond to the story highlight or screenshot the design and upload it to the Google Form. Predrawn designs will take priority over custom designs.
What do you recommend for aftercare?
For classic healing: The most important thing is to keep it clean and hydrated. Using antibacterial soap, clean your tattoo with your fingertips once a day, again if you intend to sweat or be in dirtier conditions. Since it is an open wound, try to avoid environments that could infect the tattoo until the scabbing process has started (around day 3). Showering is totally fine, just make sure to wash your tattoo last so no other products leave residue. For about 2 weeks, or while there are any scabs, avoid submerging it in water; baths, saunas, hot tubs, pools, rivers, oceans, lakes, etc. During the healing process you can use A&D ointment, Aquaphor, or plain unscented lotion to keep the tattoo hydrated. One of my personal favorite ointments is a CBD ointment from Hustle Butter that can be found online at Ulta. Use ointment no more than twice a day and apply it super thin; thicker application will lead to thicker scabs and harder healing. Don’t pick or scratch at the scabs as it could cause a loss of pigment. Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo for at least a month, a sunburn on a fresh tattoo can completely ruin it.
With Saniderm: Leave Saniderm on for up to 4 days. If the Saniderm leaks at all, try to remove the saniderm as soon as possible as it’s letting things out as well as in. When removing the bandage, take a warm shower and try to pull the bandage like a command strip away from your body. Wash with soap and water and pat dry with a clean towel. Use lotion as needed.
